Delivering excellence in education
COVID-19 UPDATE - 11th August 2021
Launching a new business just as lockdown was announced has been a challenge and I have had no option but to adapt as things progressed. I am determined to offer the best Reflexology education in Scotland and in order to do that I need certain things to be available.
As things have eased this year it seemed that everything was going to fall into place for our full launch in September 2021, but alas, despite my best efforts, it has become apparent that this will not be possible.
In order to safeguard the quality of delivery, content and experience for each of you who comes to study with us, I have taken the decision to move the start date of the next courses to Jan/Feb of 2022.
My main issue has been venues, and this is an ongoing quest. I have arrangements and agreements in place, but the venues find themselves somewhat restricted given the rate we are coming out of lockdown, and what I don’t want to do is have to move the dates once you have already committed to this year.
So, the new dates are up here for both Glasgow and Aberdeen and I very much look forward to welcoming you to The Munro School.
The cost is being held at this year’s rate and the payment plans remain in place too.
Please do get in touch if you need any more information or assistance.
A message from our Principal
As the Principal and owner of The Munro School I am delighted to welcome you to our course page, and hope you find all the information you need to help you decide to come and study with us. I studied Reflexology as a mature student and, at the age of 35, finally found my passion in life. Having come from a business management background it was a huge leap of faith for me, but one that paid off and still does to this day, as I love my career even more 17 years on.
Having completed a three year BSc in Complementary Therapies (Reflexology), I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with Distinction and with the highest marks of my year. This was down to the great teaching, the supportive learning environment and the passion that was passed on to me. This is something I have recreated in my own teaching and will offer as part of your learning experience at this school.
Having set up in private practice after graduation I then continued onto The University of Stirling to study a Masters in Education including TQFE (Teaching Qualification in Further Education) and taught at Jewel & Esk, Perth and City of Glasgow Colleges as part of their Complementary Therapy Teams.
I have been writing, developing and teaching my own courses for over 12 years and delivering them around Scotland and England. I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my teaching as well as a continued love and passion for Reflexology as well as the other therapies I teach.
I look forward to welcoming you to our course and if you have any questions please just get in touch.
